Lieutenant DeLanzo began her career, in 1998, dispatching for the Wildwood Police Department. Later that year she was hired as a dispatcher for the Middle Township Police Department and in 1999 hired as a full time Police Officer for the Middle Township Police Department. She graduated from the Cape May County Police Academy in January 2000.
Upon graduating she started as a Patrol Officer. During her time in Patrol she served as a D.A.R.E/L.E.A.D Instructor, Hostage Negotiator and Firearms Instructor. In 2011 she was made a Corporal, running the squad in her Sergeants absence. In 2016 She was promoted to Sergeant of the Delta Squad. While serving as Sergeant she graduated from the New Jersey Chiefs of Police Association Command and Leadership Program. In 2020 she was promoted to Lieutenant. As the Administrative Lieutenant she oversees Police Communications (Dispatch), Records Division, Animal Control, Code Enforcement, Vacant Property Program, Crime watch Program, and Department’s Social Media account. She is the Hostage Negotiation Liaison, Municipal Court Liaison, and reviews accident and driving while intoxicated reports.
Lieutenant DeLanzo was raised in Middle Township. She Attended Cape Christian academy until her 10th grade year when she transferred to Middle Township High School, graduating in 1991. Lieutenant DeLanzo currently lives in Middle Township where she enjoys spending time with her children and granddaughter.
