The Middle Township Police Department conducts the LEAD (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) Program in the Elementary #2 and the Middle School in an effort to create a safer and healthier community free of drugs, bullying, and violence.  Beginning with the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance and Education) program in the 1990’s, thousands of Middle Township fifth grade students have been instructed by thoughtful officers of the Police Department. This program is 10 weeks long and trained officers visit their assigned class once a week and teach a prescribed curriculum. Officers who teach the LEAD Program include:
